With my roots in India where fast fashion has created a lot of jobs, I saw the other side of the coin. Dangerous working conditions, child labor, absurdly low wages, you name it. After a decade in factory management, I identified the root cause originating from customer demand and understood that we need to slow down fashion. This led me to become obsessed with creating timeless items that would not be disposed after every third use. I chose leather goods as our form of expression because its a part of a circular economy. If you are reading this, you are the soul of our business. We don’t necessarily want you to choose our brand, but leather as a choice against plastic options. This is why we inform customers through our blogs and social media platforms about how your products are made and who is making them. At this age, these information is crucial. We educate customers by providing the answer to “Why to choose leather”, and with that knowledge, to be able to take the best decision for themselves.
Our Values
We believe in doing things right. We have set up our factory and supply chain in order not to repeat the unethical elements of fast fashion. That's why we work with partners (logistics, packaging) who follow ethical and sustainable practices. We do not use any form of synthetic leather that would increase the carbon footprint of the plastic industry. In the heart of our family are the artisans, who are highly skilled (some third generation leather workers) and we want them to be proud of their craft so they teach the next generation. We encourage small artisans locally in Europe to work with us to create a local Eco-system that benefits leather-craft.
Our Designs
Each piece is thoughtfully designed to combine style, function, and fit so you can look good and feel great. We prioritize quality and longevity, while at the same time working to find the most Eco-conscious materials (not only for leather, but for tanning to hardware used). Our Leather
Our leather is up-cycled from discarded animal hides, which are the residues of the meat industry, into handcrafted bags, wallets, and other leather goods you can keep for years. We systematically design different sized pieces that utilize the most materials from a hide, including dead-stock and scraps, to minimize waste. Our factory uses a 100% recycled, closed-loop water system.
